Our Founding Story
The fascinating story of Opure begins thousands of kilometres away in the rugged mountains of Northern Pakistan. Our founder, Mr Zafar Yaqoob, had already heard about the mineral Shilajit. It is an ancient Ayurvedic mineral, often labelled as the "conqueror of the mountains".
Zafar became so invested in Shilajit that he spent seven years in the remote Himalayan region to see how this incredible resin was formed.
He trekked through the Himalayan range, visiting village to village, meeting local collectors, and gaining knowledge about this dark, nutrient-packed substance. However, he was shocked to discover that many people were cutting corners. Some would boil the resin to speed up its process, stripping off its natural minerals, while others would mix dirt and debris before selling it.
In 2019, Zafar decided to take control of the entire process to discover pure Shilajit. It was then that Opure came into being, offering 100% authentic, sun-dried Himalayan Shilajit—no shortcuts, no artificial mixing—just pure bliss.
You can find a dedicated filtration and purification facility of Opure in Lahore, where natural Shilajit rocks are collected, cleaned and sun-dried.
